for me at least.

it wasn't so black
or white
more like
a very large scale
filled with shades
of confusion.

I wanted the
broad shoulders
that men obtained
by nature. I ached
for the clavicles
that showed whether
you were average
or thin.
I desired the chiseled jaw,
the strong arms
that could make
any girl feel
safe,
the deep voice that
could make her
swoon with
the right words.

the graceful walk
that females could master
so naturally.

The world's gone grey

Since you've been away

I try not to the feel the pain

Ignore memory lane

You left me in the dust

My heart's gone bust

Tears fall from my eyes

And no one can be bothered to hear my cries

Did you ever once look back,

See how my smile crack'd

Noticed how my laughter was forced

As destiny and fate veered way off course

We were supposed to last

So what went wrong, not so long in our past?
